UIC Fall 2021 BSN Program

I submitted my app for UIC yesterday. I'm anxious for the result. So for anyone else who applied what is your GPA and your extracurricular activities? I'm a transfer student with a 3.2 GPA and I've worked at an animal hospital for 3 years. 
I got denied last year due to my GPA so I'm just trying to figure out my chances, and where I can improve if I get denied again. ? 

do you guys know if they send out rejection letters too or just acceptance?

I’m not sure about UIC particularly, but other universities send both acceptance and rejection letters. I really do wish we all get in and meet soon (either via zoom or in person) as 2023 BSN class ??

Don’t get discouraged!! This year is somewhat a little bit different and I feel like more people were taking a gap year. Whether we get in or not it does not define you and you can still manage to pursue your dream if you really want it. How many nursing programs did you apply to? (If you don’t mind me asking?) some of the schools are still taking applications btw so maybe try that?

I applied to ASU, Illinois State, University of Wisconsin, University of Utah and UIC (all 3 campuses).

I'm trying to take out as little loans as possible. So the out-of-state schools are a big risk but they offer a lot more than just a nursing program. I applied to UIC last year (2020) and they denied me due to GPA. So if I don't get in this year, I'm not going to wait another year again. Based off the available seats last year, and the number of interviews this year, I think only 10 students are not getting in....?

I looked at school with late acceptance but they are schools that didn't offer much or I didn't meet the requirement (I.e. missing classes) 

 Illinois State accepted me as a student and I picked Medical Lab Science. I'm already looking into being a traveling MLS so it's not that far off being a traveling nursing. Just less money, but Illinois State gave me a grant and I only need about $3,000 in loan per semester. Beside getting a BSN, another goal is to graduate with as little loans as possible.

I had gotten an email back that mid April two weeks from today is when we will hear back

I'm kind of glad I know when we will hear, but also not. The next two weeks are going to go so slow.

I usually try to forget about it and try keeping myself busy to not think about it so time flies, it usually works. I start getting worried and nervous during the actual week in mid April as the time comes haha

Guys one have you gotten response emails from UIC?! I just received it and I got in to Chicago Campus!  Congrats to all admitted !
