I submitted my app for UIC yesterday. I'm anxious for the result. So for anyone else who applied what is your GPA and your extracurricular activities? I'm a transfer student with a 3.2 GPA and I've worked at an animal hospital for 3 years.
I got denied last year due to my GPA so I'm just trying to figure out my chances, and where I can improve if I get denied again. ?

The same situation happened to me; however, I said I was interested in UIS but particularly interested in UIC or UIUC waitlist option. I didn't want to miss the chance of entering the program, even though it was in UIS. One question did (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) respond to your email after your response. He didn't reply yet, so I just sent a follow-up after your update.
Sorry about that, I guess most people did not know. Congrats on getting in too!! Yes he did respond with a letter of acceptance.

I got an email saying that I was pulled from the waitlist for Springfield. I had to deny the Springfield campus due to personal reasons that came up, but I'm wondering why I wasn't pulled for Chicago's campus but for Springfield.
Hi
I believe you were granted Springfield because you chose all three. I picked Urbana/Chicago and was offered Chicago. Springfield is really good if you’re willing to move for college. My sister goes there and says everything is so serene over there. Probably less traffic during rush hours too. Success in your endeavors!
Hi guys,
(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) emailed me to let me know that a spot opened in the Springfield campus. While Chicago was my first choice, I didn’t want to miss my chance at getting accepted at one of the other campuses. Do you guys know what the program is like in Springfield? I’m so anxious, I don’t know if I should make the big move down there or look for another college!!

Hello!
I had the same dilemma. My first choice was Chicago and/or Urbana. However, Springfield came through with an offer first. I couldn't miss the offer to study within the UIC nursing program. From my understanding, all 3 locations follow the same program and timeline. From orientation and current UIS students, they expressed the benefit of small class sizes. We all study similar courses, but I believe the small class size/ cohort group differentiates this location. If you thrive with one on one or small groups, you'll do great! I'm also from CA, so I do not know what to expect in the location, other than the program itself. I love the city of Chicago, but I would just have to make an experience out of my stay in UIS. I hope this helps your decision. Hopefully, see you there this fall!

Hi!
After thinking about it for a couple days, it looks like I’ll be accepting the offer! This location is 4 hours away from my hometown which means I’ll have to live on campus. Props to you for having the courage to move across the country but it’s true that this program is worth it. This is truly nerve racking for me because I went to CC and this would be my first time moving away from home but I’m excited and looking forward to this experience. I hope to meet you this fall as well!

I am happy that you made your decision! Congratulations and I'll see you then ?

Hey,
I applied for the fall 2022 BSN program, but I was waitlisted today. I accepted the spot on the waitlist and wanted to ask if you accepted the spot on the Chicago campus last year? Did you have a backup school?
