Hello future nursing students!
I didn't see a forum for those of us applying to the University of Houston - Sugar Land nursing program in the Spring of 2020, so I decided to start one. I have already submitted my application and completed my CPR certification, so now there's just the waiting. I've attached all the resources from the UH website that I could find, just for everyone's convenience.
I do have a few questions though: is anyone else having issues submitting the SSN release form? I get an error message every time I try, and I haven't heard back from the school about it yet (I emailed them asking if it had been received). Are y'all applying to other accelerated programs? If so- could you share which ones?
I was also wondering what kind of stats everyone who's applying has, or if anyone has any info about past applicants/students and the scores/extracurriculars that they had before acceptance. If anyone would be willing to share that info, it would be super appreciated!
Good luck to everyone!

Hi All!
Congrats to everyone!! Lets start this journey!! I also got an interview.
I have two questions.
1. I was wondering if anyone had started their immunization titers yet?
2. If someone got their BLS (CPR/AED) certification, would that be under BLS for Red Cross's website?

I'm looking to sign up for the class but I wanted to make sure before paying.
Can't wait to meet you all for the interview!!

I was told at the informational session to wait until someone talked to us directly about it, which I'm assuming they'll do after or during the interview. They said to wait since some of them expire and some are expensive and insurance might not cover it.

Aw thanks so much! I went to the info session in January and I was trying to find my notes!

Hi I’m currently in the nursing program. Most of the people that got interviewed were accepted to the program in my case. It’s more of a formality to meet the applicants. My cohort took their badge pictures during interview day.
