I didn't see a forum for those of us applying to the University of Houston - Sugar Land nursing program in the Spring of 2020, so I decided to start one. I have already submitted my application and completed my CPR certification, so now there's just the waiting. I've attached all the resources from the UH website that I could find, just for everyone's convenience.
I do have a few questions though: is anyone else having issues submitting the SSN release form? I get an error message every time I try, and I haven't heard back from the school about it yet (I emailed them asking if it had been received). Are y'all applying to other accelerated programs? If so- could you share which ones?
I was also wondering what kind of stats everyone who's applying has, or if anyone has any info about past applicants/students and the scores/extracurriculars that they had before acceptance. If anyone would be willing to share that info, it would be super appreciated!
Last day to submit your applications for the Spring 2020 UH 2nd Degree BSN program! Make sure all your 'i's are dotted and all your 't's crossed. Also- keep in mind that CAS operates on a different time zone than Texas, so don't wait until midnight. Good luck everyone!
I know it's a little early to be wondering, but does anyone know if we'll get notification that U of H has received our applications?
I checked my email from last year the only email you will get is an email of an invitation for the interview. I was sent an email 9/11/18 being invited to an interview.
I just received this email so it looks like they will be sending out confirmation emails!

Dear UH College of Nursing Second Degree (SD) BSN applicant,
Thank you for applying to the UH College of Nursing SDBSN program! Your application has been received and is currently being reviewed. Please note that if you have recently completed any general education or nursing prerequisite courses this Spring 19 or Summer 19, and have not submitted them to NursingCAS, please send an unofficial PDF copy of your transcript to [email protected] verifying completion of all remaining prerequisite coursework. Please note that if you already submitted your updated transcripts to NursingCAS, you do not need to email them to [email protected].
Also, if you have recently taken the TEAS VI exam, please email a copy of your Individual Performance Profile report (This lists your individual scores on each section of the exam) to [email protected]. If you're unsure if you've uploaded this in your application, you are free to contact NursingCAS directly. We must have this specific score report.
Please note that we must receive proof (transcript) of completion of all prerequisite coursework (general education and nursing prereqs), and TEAS VI Individual Performance Profile report by Friday, August 30th.
If selected for an interview, you will be notified in the next 3-4 weeks.

All I got was confirmation from NursingCAS that my application had been submitted and my coursework verified. Did everyone get confirmation from U of H?

I got these emails July 18th and July 19th.
I have not been contacted again just yet
I applied August 15th so I'm not expecting those emails lol I'm assuming if we're invited to interview we'll hear in September after the August 30th deadline mentioned in the email I got!

I got that too but it was a generic email from NursingCAS since I applied to three schools at once. I assume as they get them from NursingCAS then UH will send that confirmation email!
