UH Manoa Nursing Fall 2014

I've been stalking previous boards trying to figure out my chances of acceptance, and it seems like KCC is more competitive than UH Manoa, but there is no consistency in what makes a good candidate... it's driving me crazzzyyyy haha

Lol yeah it's pretty crazy how competitive UH & KCC are. Don't sweat it though because even if you don't get accepted there's plenty of other programs you could try (:

@lorie I'm glad he got back to you.. see I knew you were fine! I think we're just doing our last minute freak out lol. He told me the next couple of weeks too. He said if we don't receive anything by then to follow up. STILL NOTHING in my STAR! AARRRGHHH!!

@brittanie you totally should've applied! I think 82% is still good! I do hope you get into KCC for Fall though! Good luck!!!

I applied to both Manoa and KCC. If both accept me I really don't know which I would choose! They both seem like good programs.

Hi kiana! YAy another fellow Manoa applicant :) Hey.. you never know! Those straight A's probably do help! Are you going to try taking the TEAS? I took both the NLN and the TEAS and ended up doing better on the TEAS so I used that one for my application

Okay thank you! I didn't know that lol I'm so jealous of your stats! I should've applied to Manoa too, but I didn't meet the requirements for some of the sections for the TEAS test I should've anyway though just in case.. I hate how everything is so competitive! & how we don't really know our chances of getting in

I know! It would be nice if they could tell us exactly how their point system works and what scores the most points on the application. Then at least we would all have a better idea of where we stand. I know of some schools on the mainland that actually tell the students how many points they got on their application and what the cutoff point was so they know how close they came to getting in. Wish they would do that here so we could know exactly what we should improve :down: Even though I got a good score on the TEAS I really don't know how much it helps on the application so I have no idea where I stand or even if I have a good chance!

I'm getting really nervous now cause it's already the 23rd and it seems like people who applied for Fall semester the past 2 years already got their letters by this time :nailbiting: (for Manoa, not sure about KCC)

I'm sure you'll be fine! lol I just have to keep reminding myself to stay positive about it :) lol yeah, I heard Manoa's letters get sent out late march and KCC around early April or even mid-April.. It's so close yet so far! lol

I also applied to UH Manoa but I am from California which doesn't make me hopeful about my chances to enroll there. Out of state students have the lowest priority but I'd still like to get my rejection letter... sooner rather than later. :arghh:
