Ok great! Thanks for clearing that up. I need a waist pack as well. Unfortunately I don't think they are optional so looks like I'll have to be ordering one soon. Oh and I checked out the green scrub pants from Walmart and they are slightly different types of green. I wonder if it would be a big deal. The Walmart ones are a slightly lighter green than the uh ones.

Sorry I forgot to mention....I brought in my walmart scrub pants to show Micheal yesterday and he said it should be ok since its not a drastic difference! And also, you might want to look on Craigslist for some of the textbooks that we need. I found some new grads who are selling theirs. Some texts are an older edition but Im checking with Tina if that is ok to use. I'll keep you ladies posted. I dont know about you ladies buy I want to save money anyway I can haha!!

I went today and got the bundle, iclicker, and most of the other books that were not included the bundle. They didn't have maybe 4 of the ones on the required list and most of the recommended list, but said they were expecting whatever they didn't have yet to come in soon.

How are y'all affording all these books right now? Lol I unfortunately have to wait until next payday or until I get my student loans to be able to buy them. Especially with being a couple of hundred dollars.

@Iris-my classmate forewarned me about the cost of things so I set aside some money but what he said the total cost of all the supplies is going to be is ending up to be the cost of textbooks alone so Im really burning a hole in my pocket :eek: Oh! If you were interested in purchasing a stethoscope from allheart.com they're having their free shipping promo again.

@Kylie-if it's not too much trouble can you tell me what 4 required texts they didnt have yet...I ordered some texts from amazon but some of the texts were actually cheaper at the bookstore so I need to make a trip over there.

yeah i had some money saved for supplies and uniforms but the textbooks are really taking me by surprise. i knew it would be a lot but wasn't thinking this much. i should be able to purchase everything else i need next week. i already ordered all my supplies except for a waist pack. could one of you tell me which books are included with the textbook package? more than likely i'll be picking that up next week but i want to see if i can order some of the books not in the package online now. Thanks!

It was the "Clinical nursing skills DVD series", "Health & Physical Assessment Reviews and Rationale", "Pocket Companion for Nursing Health Assessment", and "Nursing Fundamentals Reviews and Rationale". They said they should be in soon, but weren't sure exactly when. You can order them online from the bookstore and have it shipped to you. I believe they charge a little for shipping but I figure I will probably spend the same amount in gas, if not more!

Congratulations on everyone getting in to the program. How exciting for all of you. I have some older edition textbooks if anyone is interested. I may have some white scrub tops and green bottoms as well. Not asking much for them. Just want them out of my house and used by others that need them. Msg me! Congrats again!

Thank you! I appreciate you offering your textbooks but we were told specifically not to use older editions and that we needed to use the latest edition textbooks since we will be using them for the next three years. Believe me...I would most definitely purchase older textbooks if I could knowing how much money I would save! Thanks again!
