Last I checked they still don't have the books yet. It was still summer books. I'm hoping they get them soon so I'm not waiting last min. Have y'all purchased your equipment yet? I'm trying to order it online since I don't know if I'll make the deadline for August 3rd.

I ordered some of my supplies from allheart.com during fourth of july weekend. I bought a Littman Cardiology III kit that included a blood pressure cuff, and a pen light. They had free shipping that weekend so I took advantage of the deal. I also found green scrub pants at walmart for only $5!!! Im hoping that its the same color green as the pants fom the bookstore. I need to go compare the two. I hope it is... $5 is way better than $25 haha!

Oh wow that's great! I still need to buy all my equipment. I do have my uniforms though. I wonder if our blood pressure cuff and stethoscope can be any color as well. I found a MD one bundle on the MDF website that comes with a stethoscope, cuff and pen light for less than $100 but they have different colors and i'm wondering if i could buy a bright pink one. lol If you see any of the books at the bookstore let me know

I sent an email a few weeks ago asking if there were any requirements for our stethoscopes (brand/model/color, etc.) and was told it's totally up to us. I'm almost done with my shopping...as long as the scrub pants and shoes I ordered from amazon fit, all I really have left on my list are textbooks and a laptop.

Kas53 where did you get your waistpack, hemostat and bandage scissors from?

I ordered my bandage scissors from MDF website. they were like $7. they only showed a kelly clamp and not a hemostat so i'm not sure if we can use that or not but i ordered it anyways and that was like $6, i'm still going to order a hemostat just to be sure.

Hi! I just came from the bookstore and they have the textbook bundles for sale. The bundle sells for $826.

so that includes all the textbooks we will need for Nursing right now or will we still need to buy more books?

oh gosh! good thing you asked me that and that I opened the box because NO it does not include all of the books we need for this semester :bored: out of 9 textbooks in the bundle...we are only going to use 5 this semester and the rest will be used the following semester. The bundle only includes the textbooks from the publisher "Elsevier". All other textbooks need to be bought separately. Ugh! Wish that was mentioned...now I need to make another trip to the bookstore:bored:

Ebay has bandage scissors, hemostats and penlights for cheap. I didn't buy a waist pack yet. I was hoping it would end up being optional. If we must, then I do have an old black fanny pack I could use. Thanks for posting about the books. I had tried to find out what was included in the bundle but didn't find out anything more than it wasn't going to include everything.

I had to double check on this myself. They are the same thing.
