yep we are in for the duration. It is toooo darn cold and icy to even think about dragging my little ones out with all of those crazy drivers.
Everyone either drives 6 miles and hour or 60. seems like there is no in between.
More icy stuff is heading in should be here shortly.

I hate it too! I am trying to decide if I want to go to school tomorrow or not, it's a 30 mins drive for me and I am paranoid of icy streets (snow doesn't bother me but the ice scares me to death) especially at 6am!
We are all going nuts here stuck in the house....especially my poor kids.
Is there really more coming tonight (sunday)? Ughhh.
No hopefully it's all over. I just saw on TV that my school isn't opening until 10am on Monday. That means no 8:30 class! Yippee.

Northern MN here...lol It was 15 below zero two mornings ago with a wind chill of -45 degrees below zero. Try standing outside in that? lol It is exactly why I want a travel nurse job to FL! I would MUCH rather have snow than bitter cold temps!

I guess I'm the oddball here. I just loved this weather. However, I am from up north (btw, I LOVE Minnesota!! :)) and it is reminiscent of blizzards in Illinois, with MUCH less snow. Fortunately, this last blast happened over the weekend, and we really didn't need to be anywhere this weekend (except for church and that was cancelled).
It was pretty cold though. My husband has this old fashioned top quality sled (the type with runners on the bottom ideal for sledding on ice). We bundled up, put the dog on a leash (who happens to be part husky so he was in his glory), I got on the sled and I held the dog's leash while my husband pulled me on the sled. It was so much fun - the dog running beside us and not a car on the street. However, we had to cut it short because it was sooooo cold and we didn't have scarves, good hats or ear protection. The wind was kicking up so we decided to head home. I gave my hubby a turn at the sled by pulling him home while he held the dog leash as the dog ran alongside. It was fun. Very brief fun, but great.
I didn't have to go anywhere on Monday, and my husband had President's Day off, we just enjoyed the coziness, being together, and looking at the snow.
I know that I'm crazy, definitely not in the majority here, but I LOVED it. But I can understand that if you aren't used to staying inside or have places you need to go it can be quite frustrating. A lot of people don't know how to drive on ice/snow down here. Another reason why I don't like to go out.
It was really nice to have a brief taste of winter this year. :)
LOL And now tomorrow is supposed to be 70-something and later in the week I saw 80! I love it :)
Last week was horrible for me. I went to school and up in Edmond in the UCO parking lot there was about 2 inches of ice and my car slid sideways and hit another car!
Oh no! Hope you're okay. Sounds like something that would happen to me!
