UFV January 2020 Intake

Published

I will be applying into the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at UFV for January 2020 Intake.
Currently have A-English B-Bio B-Chem and a B-Math of which math I will be upgrading this summer to an A, hopefully.

I am also a RCA and have a lot of volunteer experience as well in the health care field

Would this be a strong enough application? Also, if anyone has experienced the information session or interview please do mention how it works and if there's any way to prepare or sort of get a better idea on what they're expecting.

The info session was informative. As for the essay portion, don't over think it. Hopefully I did well and invites go out next week for the interview. Good luck to everyone!

Hey!

Thanks for the info! May I ask if you wrote a full essay with an intro, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion?

Yes, they are looking for standard essay structure. The question is very broad, and it feels like much more than 30 minutes when you’re there.

Would you prep any other way for the info session??

I've been looking through the old forums for UFV and writing down the topics from the past info sessions and timing myself for 30 mins while I write out essays. It's made me feel little less stressed ?

Good idea! I’ve done the same! And it’s just in building A I believe!

I read through the requisite skills and abilities document again while I was waiting for the session to start, wrote down key terms, and made a list of attributes that I thought were very important. This kept those things fresh in my mind.

Thank you!! Good luck to everyone today!

Hey y’all!!

Just out of curiousity, how many people were at the Monday session? There was only 28 today!

No way! If I had to guess I would say there were 45ish on Monday? They said 100 people would be writing the essay and 80 be interviewed so I wonder if it is less than that now?

Oh wow good odds y’all! Lol, today they said their aiming to invite like 65-70 something!

How does everyone feel about their essay? I doubt the two sessions had the same question, but did you walk out feeling confident?

Both sessions had the same question actually.
