UFV January 2020 Intake

I will be applying into the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at UFV for January 2020 Intake.
Currently have A-English B-Bio B-Chem and a B-Math of which math I will be upgrading this summer to an A, hopefully.

I am also a RCA and have a lot of volunteer experience as well in the health care field

Would this be a strong enough application? Also, if anyone has experienced the information session or interview please do mention how it works and if there's any way to prepare or sort of get a better idea on what they're expecting.

Don't panic love! I only had 2 A+'s and 2 A's!

They sent out some invites last Wednesday and Friday and I didn't receive mine till this morning.

And my last name starts with A ? So definitely isn't alphabetical order

@sp13, I wouldn't worry if I were you - atleast not yet anyways. Taking a glance at the previous forum pages, invites to the information sessions were sent over a one week period. Hopefully you'll hear back from them by Friday. You're grades seem amazing and I wish you the best of luck!

I got an invite! Turns out invites finished going out this morning so I had asked to speak to someone about finding out more about why I didn't get invited - but turns out my name was on the list and there must have been an error in my email! Thank you for all your encouraging words today!

I was just curious if more emails were going out or not and I couldn't handle the stress of waiting anymore lol so I called to ask. So when they asked my name they saw that I should have gotten an email! I am glad I called after that but wow that was a rollercoaster of emotions being told I wasn't invited but then learning I actually should have been invited!

Thank you so much!! Mine was scheduled for the 9th, but I have a class at 5:30pm that day, so if space becomes available I am switching to the 7th ?

Congrats on the invites! Does anyone have an idea of what the info night and essay might be like?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many people are invited to the information sessions versus the interviews? Moreover, my email to the information session said "Final selection for the Winter 2020 class will be made by" but after the end it was blank and had no date. Anyone get the same message or is the final decision date known?

I believe they left the final decision date blank as they haven't selected anyone yet. I assume that when they have made their decisions they will resend an email with the real date etc. Mine also had the date blank. As for the number of people going to the information sessions... I think there is a fair amount of people, considering the number of applications they get for the program as well as having 2 info session days. However not everyone gets an invite to an info session ( at least that is what I heard, I could be wrong ). Hopefully it isn't too bad. I think less people are invited to the interviews in comparison to the info session as it is the next step.

I checked with health studies and they also missed sending my invitation! I would suggest anyone that didn't receive one, to email them and double check. The info session I'm going to is Monday the 7th, from 4-6:00pm. Did the questionnaire come in a second email? I didn't receive any attachments...

Wow, that's crazy how they forgett to send out invites to people! They make this mistake a lot, it also happened to a family friend of mine a couple years back in 2016 I believe. The questionnaire came in a second email but if you still haven't received it then send them another email!
