World Canada CA Programs

Hey!

I am just finishing up my prereqs this semester and will have everything ready to go after I get my marks back from finals in a few weeks. I am excited/nervous! I am 24 and have been working at an eye surgery office for the past almost 4 years so have lots of hours to apply with. I feel old...! But I know in the big picture life is just beginning! Anybody else applying for the January 2016 intake? Or has anyone applied before and have any tips?

Thanks guys and good luck!! :)

Would make sense if it was alphabetical. My last name starts with a B

Hi Everyone

I am following this thread from last many days.

Congrats to those who got invitation for information session. They just called the candidates with min GPA 3.5.

So how did the info session go tonight? Anything we should know for tomorrow? I hope it went well!!

Hey there!

The info session went well. Quite informal and nothing to worry about :) Just do your best and you'll do great!!

It was definitely nothing to worry about. Now it's just about waiting to hear back! The hard part haha.

Does anyone from the info session remember when they will be emailing about interviews?

also, if we don't get an interview, will they let us know?

Hey! I got an email at about 12pm today to call to set up an interview! I will have to call to set it up tomorrow.

She said last night they would be emailing within the next 2 weeks. They said those with 16 and 14 pts (for academics) would be guaranteed and interview and then depending on how many there are they will interview those with pts below 14 to make sure as many people as possible get a chance. 70 people get interviews and 32 get seats in the program...

I cant remember if she said they will let people know if they do not get an interview.

Hello hopefuls! Does anyone know if they will be giving anyone with a GPA lower than 3.5 a shot at an interview? Mine is only 3.38 after a rough semester and I am worried that it will ruin my chances. Thanks!

Did go to an info session?

I remember being in your shoes last year. I'm an LPN and was accepted into the LPN Access Program...it was tough but if you guys made the info session and were selected for an interview you will do amazing!!!! The interview for me felt like a job interview. They ask you about your strengths, weaknessess, and why should you be offered a seat over someone else, which is difficult to answer!! They ask about your financial stabilty, time management skills, communication skills, when your communication skills were challenged and how did this affect you, so self reflect. And say you are NOT going to work and you are going to be well supported!!!! They also ask how you relieve stress as the program is very intense. So brush up on stress management skills as well! Good luck!!!!!!

No I didn't get invited to an info session yet :( That's why I'm concerned.

They already did all the info sessions.

They cut off applicants with GPAs under 3.5 again.

It will most likely be the same for the next intake too.

:(
