Hey!

I am just finishing up my prereqs this semester and will have everything ready to go after I get my marks back from finals in a few weeks. I am excited/nervous! I am 24 and have been working at an eye surgery office for the past almost 4 years so have lots of hours to apply with. I feel old...! But I know in the big picture life is just beginning! Anybody else applying for the January 2016 intake? Or has anyone applied before and have any tips?

Congratulations on getting accepted at KPU!

I applied there too. Did they send you an email of acceptance on your KPU email?

Hey ak12,

thank you!! No they didn't actually, I just happened to check my application status through mykwantlen and saw "offered(qual conditions)" so I emailed asking what this mean. The admissions lady replied and said its a conditional acceptance. The conditions are submitting CPR/first aid certif, criminal record check etc. she said they will also be mailing an acceptance package.

did you apply to ufv also?

Yes I applied to UFV as well. I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Do you know if there is a interview process for KPU?

Hello UFV applicants :) I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I am a third yr nursing student at UFV and know what your going through. The waiting is anguish. However, If you are not accepted for this semester, do your best to get into the A&P course. If you can lighten your course load in the first year, it can really save your life.

ak12 I think there is only an interview with KPU if they request it. When I get the acceptance package in the mail I will see if it says anything else.

Hey phoenixforealz! Thanks for the tip! I am actually currently in HSC111 and I am only taking it with one other course and it is a good taste of how intense things will get if accepted in the program... Hope your classes are going well so far this year!! Were you a September or January start?

Hey guys

i got an email this morning on my ufv account saying that "my application is now complete and is in a position to be considered. " Anyone else get this email? I don't totally know what it means but it's nice to just hear something!

Hey guys,

I applied with 3 A's and 1B with 170 volunteers hours at the Abbotsford hospital, and working at a chiropractor office. I'm taking HSC 111 as well right now, and it seems pretty intense so far. But, I also received an email this morning for the complete application status and to be considered.

That sounds awesome bg95! Sounds like a great application. I am taking HSC 111 right now too! I wonder if we're in the same class and don't even know it? Haha.

I didn't receive an email like that yet. I did last intake though and ended up getting an email shortly after for the essay and interview.Hmmm I wonder if it's because I have an A- in English now :(

Hey jennicole6983 I also applied to the last intake and did not get the email this intake but I believe it is only for people applying for the first time!
