Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

I just received a letter from UF, but they were just asking for a form to verify my Florida residence. I was freaking out when my mom handed it to me, but I kept telling myself that they don't send rejections before the acceptances.

It is nice to know that the cogs are turning up in Gainesville.

Now we all just have to wait for the real letters... :|

Haha Luckily we'll all know this month!!! But of course it's going by so slow -__-

@Lisabethanne ah! UNC Chapel Hill did that to me. They sent me this huge envelope the week letters came out. Obviously saw it in my mailbox and was thrilled. Opened it....Just verifying in-state residency. The next day I received my letter saying I was waitlisted. I could have internally combusted. What is this nonsense UNC!!!

Was this posted in the wrong thread? as, @Zete said, there is no TEAS requirement for UF ABSN program.

I'm pretty sure tabular was replying me10 on the last page regarding Remington College

Oh I see. you have to press quote in order for everyone to see who you are replying to.

No @ ptgn the statement about the teas was directed to me about a question I asked outside of the UF nursing program .

@me10 Where did you hear about that 3.65 gpa requirement for USF? I don't have a 3.65 and I plan on applying there too for fall, because even if I do get into UF I may not be able to start in the summer. I already attend USF so it would be an easier transition as well. I'm guessing that 3.65 is an average as opposed to an actual requirement. Please let me know if this is not the case though.

I'm sorry for all the confusion that I'm creating. 3.65 is the average GPA of applicants that they usually accept. I was told by someone in the admission office that you need that GPA to be a competitive contender to get into the program:sorry:.

Hey, I just found this today! What a relief in the wait process! I'm currently a full-time UF student and my GPA went up since when I filled out the application. Do any of you know if they will retrieve it for me and take into account my new GPA without me telling them to or...not?

Sebuhler I am a UF student also and since they have access to all of your transcripts you shouldnt need to tell them anything. Also keep in mind they only are looking at your upper division GPA (or your last 60 credits)

Totally agree with @PTIII. They have access to all of our records so there should be no need for worry! I am also a current UF student and my GPA has gone up since application.
