It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.
I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!

Hey guys! Almost time to submit the application!!! Does anyone know if UF looks only at your pre-requisite GPA or do they take into account your overall GPA or Upper Division GPA?
I know the essay questions are weighted heavily but I am so worried my GPA is going to be too low ):
Also, does anyone know when decisions will be made??
Guys on NursingCAS under prereqs if im taking the course during spring so i put not to match a course to this prereq? because otherwise it doesnt let me save it.
Can someone guide me on this essay question? "Describe ways you are able to show others you care about them, yet do not compromise other people's needs and requirements." I am having trouble understanding it. It's written a bit strange to me. lol any input would be greatly appreciated!
I answered it in a way that for example if you have 2 kids, how do you show one that you care about him/her without neglecting the needs of the other child. No guarantees but that's how I understood the question.

From what I understand they look at the last 60 credit hours of undergrad (or your graduate GPA if you have a graduate degree). They also look at prerequisites
Decisions usually come out end of February/beginning of March.
Also, we should get a link to the assessment in late December if things are scheduled like last year. I'm crossing my fingers that I get that email!!

That's also how I interpreted it, but I had a heard time understanding the question initially! The wording is confusing but then again I'm not sure how else they could ask that particular question :)
I asked Kenneth about stats for the admitted 2018 class. Here is his response.
There were 460 applicants. The average of admitted students was 3.4. The percentage accepted was 460 applicants/112 admitted students which equates to roughly a 24% acceptance rate.

can you explain a little more about the link that students receive after submitting their application?? will all applicants receive a link for an assessment?
