Hello!

It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.

I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!

I would love to hear about everyone's background, projects, questions, and hopefully we can help each other out.

Good luck to all! We got this!

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well! Is anyone applying to any other ABSN programs or just UF?

Also, does anyone know if you can apply for both the ABSN program and the traditional program at UF? I know at UNF, if you do not get accepted into their accelerated program, you are automatically considered for their traditional program.

I am SO nervous that I am not going to get in!! The essay questions are especially scary!

I appreciate the help and guidance in advance! Wish you all the best throughout this process!

Don't be scared of the essay questions. I talked about some of the struggles in my life, and how I had to overcome those obstacles. Some of the questions made me dig deep, but that is what they want. They want to know who YOU are, not just what looks good on paper.

When it comes to Nursing CAS I had an electronic copy of my transcripts sent to them, and then I figured out they didn't accept the electronic copy from UNF. So I had UNF mail them to NursingCAS. Just call them to make sure they received them.

BUT>>>> For UF, originally they told me to mail them in, and then they said to have an electronic copy sent. LOTS of confusion, and I was so frustrated, but spend the time to make sure all your stuff gets into CAS, because they are the first ones to tell UF if you have everything. From my understanding if you don't get the green light from them, you don't get pushed through to the next round.

Hey guys! So this transcript thing is confusing me. Are you just uploading your unofficial on Nursingcas? or are you sending your unoffical to Nursingcas by mail? I contacted Kenneth Wynn and he said to send the unofficial transcript only to Nursingcas but Nursingcas told me to just upload it! So I'm a bit lost and wanted to see what everyone else is doing!

Thanks! :)

I uploaded mine to NursingCAS and it went through immediately! My official transcripts went to UF for the Postbacc.

I just uploaded my unofficial as a PDF document to NursingCas, and then I recieved a confirmation email from NursingCas when it was received and reviewed so that I knew it was entered. Hope this helps!

Yes it helps a lot! Thanks so much guys! I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right! :)

Hi everyone :)

I'm also in the process of filling out my application.

Does anyone know if the references should be academic or more from work experience?

Also, does anyone know how much the program costs in total for out of state? I found some information online but it's a little confusing.

I'm already super nervous and can't wait for February to get the decision :D

Hi,

When I last spoke with Kenneth he mentioned one academic reference and one professional was preferred so I did one from a professor and one from my previous supervisor at work. I hope that helps a little, i'm sorry I have no idea about the tuition!

Thank you :) That helps a lot.

Hello does anyone know When decisions come out?

In previous years it's been around end of February, beginning of March.
