UF accelerated BSN Summer 2019

U.S.A. Florida

Hello!

It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.

I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!

I would love to hear about everyone's background, projects, questions, and hopefully we can help each other out.

Good luck to all! We got this!

I have been counting the days! I hope they send it out before the break. Fingers crossed! Please post if you receive a link :)

I'm almost as excited as my kids waiting for Christmas day ;)

Under the "Check Status" Tab of NursingCAS, my application says "Received." Is that what it is supposed to say? I have seen a couple of different answers to this on the discussion.

Mine still says complete :/

I found this regarding how to understand your application status:

Received - Applicants that have designated your school and submitted their application. Not all Documents have arrived for these applicants and they have not yet been verified.

Completed - Applicants that have designated your school and submitted their application. Documents have arrived for these applicants but they have not yet been reviewed by NursingCAS.

Verified - Applicants that have designated your school and submitted their application. Documents have arrived for these applicants and course grades have been confirmed by NursingCAS and GPAs calculated.

I do not believe ours have to be verified though because we sent our official transcripts to UF instead of NursingCas.

I updated my in progress classes with my official grades for this semester, but it isn't allowing me to finalize them. Is anyone else having this problem?

I didn't do this yet but was wondering if I should? UF should be getting my updated transcripts next week. I wasn't sure if they would look at the updated version since it was already submitted.

Has anyone received the personality assessment yet?? Kenneth said it's supposed to be within the next few days at the latest!!! Also, if we don't recieve the assesment, do you guys think we will get a denial email??? Just don't want to be left hanging

I haven't yet but I'm not so patiently waiting. Every time someone posts here and I get a notification, I pretty much have a heart attack.

My assumption is that anyone who doesn't get the assessment isn't considerated for the program and/or something is missing from the application (that's 100% my interpretation though). So fingers crossed.

I haven't either. Waiting is the hardest part!!í ½í¸„

Does anyone know any stats? Like how many people will get the invite to the personality assessment and how many of those will be accepted into the program?

Well, I'm not certain, but I was reading the old 2018 thread from last year and they received assessment emails on December 19th, and it seemed like they sent out emails in batches of 200. It looked like there were 3 different batches and about 200 in each batch. So 600 total? Doesn't sound too promising, but its what I was reading... Here's the link to the 2018 thread if anyone wants to take a look! https://allnurses.com/florida-nursing/uf-accelerated-bsn-1103798.html

Things might be different this year, however. So who knows! I'm just constantly biting my nails!!!

someone posted the stats from the 2018 cohort a few pages back!

This is the person's post:

I asked Kenneth about stats for the admitted 2018 class. Here is his response.

There were 460 applicants. The average of admitted students was 3.4. The percentage accepted was 460 applicants/112 admitted students which equates to roughly a 24% acceptance rate.

i haven't received anything either and I am a nervous wreck! i hope that, if we don't receive the link, they will provide us with some sort of denial email.

also, does anyone have any information about the personality assessment? i think it is somewhat new and I have no idea what it is or what to expect!

wishing everyone the best of luck!
