UF accelerated BSN Summer 2019

Hello!

It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.

I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!

I would love to hear about everyone's background, projects, questions, and hopefully we can help each other out.

Good luck to all! We got this!

Hi everyone :)

What does everyone's status say on nursingCAS? I read that it should say mailed when it's mailed to the university. I applied on November 9th and mine still says "complete". I'm a little worried

Mine says complete. From what I have read, a "complete" status is what they're looking for. I wouldn't worry!

Great! Thank you so much!!

Are here any international students or out-of-state students?

I am from Illinois. How about you?!

I'm from Germany. Would you mind emailing me? I have a few questions if you don't mind :)

Hey!

I am applying to UF and UNF for the accelerated nursing programs! I still have to take the teas test for UNF. Have you taken it yet?

I'm so nervous and hate having to wait so long to see if I got in.

Good Luck to everyone!

the waiting process is SO nerve-wracking!

good luck to you as well!

My bachelor degree is in psychology with a minor in sociology. I orginally was thinking about going into social work in the hospital but decided I wanted to work more hands on with patients. So, now I am trying to get into a nursing program in Jacksonville.

I have not yet taken the teas test. I take in 2 weeks and I am super nervous! I am finishing the prereq classes for nursing right now, so I haven't had much time to study for it. After this week that is all I am doing. Hopefully I do good on it the first time.

If you don't mind sharing; how did you do on the teas test the first time? Any tips?

oh wow ok that is great! i am actually from Jacksonville!!

wishing you the very best as you finish up your prereqs!

i definitely don't mind! i got a 335 / 400 on my first attempt which i believe is around an 83%. since my prereq GPA is quite low though, Beth recommended that I take the TEAS again to balance out the two scores they look at (at UNF) for admissions.

I am scheduled to take it again on Dec. 19! good luck when you take it! i imagine that you will be completely fine since you are taking prereqs right now and information will be fresh in your mind!

Hey guys!

does anyone know the time line of when applicants start receiving the link for the personality assessment if they are selected?

the waiting process is so scary!

Hey guys!

Judging from last year's post they got it around the 19th of December so I'm hoping next week! Fingers crossed.

I emailed Kenneth today to ask him and he told me this:

"If selected for the assessment, it will occur very soon in more than a week from now."
