I applied for RN residencies at both UCSF and Stanford during the week of May 10th, 2010. I wanted to hear from anyone who has applied to either program AND has been contacted by a recruiter. Or from anyone who knows for certain (i.e., you work there) when theses decisions will be made. I am a fairly strong candidate and would like to believe I am in the running for a position--but who knows really? I will post if and when I hear anything.
I have friends who've already got an offer and they tuned it done so there maybe spots open . Check your status if it hasn't change and no call they will not call you. If you got it they will. Internal hires are priority.
for those that had panel interviews with lpch last week- i called HR yesterday and they said they are still deciding and there is not a definite date for when they will be calling us back. she said they are still deciding, but they will definitely contact us one way or another to let us know.
1 on 1's with the hiring manager are supposed to be scheduled the last week of july- so i'm assuming they will be getting to us next week! best of luck to you all!

We all know that HR personnel give out incorrect information on a regular basis. The day I was offered a position at one residency, I was sitting in the lobby and overheard the receptionist telling someone on the phone that no final interviews had been conducted yet and they hadn't started making the calls to invite people to meet the directors. Obviously, that was false, as I had just met the unit director and had been offered a position *headdesk*
Let's not jump on each other for sharing the information we've been given. We're all doing our best to keep each other informed. It's a stressful situation, but it's not worth getting upset over and it's certainly not worth snide comments on allnurses.com. :redbeathe
Hello all! I am new to this post- I have an active application with Stanford and have been selected for a panel interview this coming week.
For those of you with apps out to LPCH, I have 2 friends that are still in the running- they have both already had their panel interviews. One has been contacted for a 1-on-1 interview and the the other has not heard back yet.
I know that this is a stressful time, but just know that you are not alone! :hug: Good luck to all of us and stay positive! Good things really do come to those who wait and we all are definitely deserving of some good job karma!!
I just received a call from HR saying that the manager will call me for an interview sometime in the next week... This is for LPCH. Has anyone heard back? I totally thought they were done interviewing and had already chosen their final candidates to start in September. I'm nervous and excited at the same time since I never thought I would make it this far...
I have 3 friends that are still in the process of interviewing for LPCH..they all have their interviews with the unit managers next week...so I know that they're not done hiring yet..congratulations on getting to the final interview, hopefully you will get the job! What unit are you interviewing for? I just had my SHC panel yesterday and they said they'd notify us in 10-14 days if we are selected for the interview with the unit manager..the wait is going to kill me!
