Hey,
I applied for RN residencies at both UCSF and Stanford during the week of May 10th, 2010. I wanted to hear from anyone who has applied to either program AND has been contacted by a recruiter. Or from anyone who knows for certain (i.e., you work there) when theses decisions will be made. I am a fairly strong candidate and would like to believe I am in the running for a position--but who knows really? I will post if and when I hear anything.
Best of luck.
Hi icuuci...I think the interview went OK.... It's so hard to tell sometimes... but I really really want to work at Lucile Packard! Did you also interview with LPCH?I had like 10 questions (the normal ones they always ask) and 2 senario questions.
fingers crossed!!
Has anyone else gotten an offer from LPCH? If so what unit??? Maybe we'll work together
Sounds like you did great BayareaRNBSN!! Best of luck to you!! You mentioned 10 questions and 2 scenarios..do you mean scenarios as in medical scenarios (i.e. Imagine you have X,Y,Z patients- which patients will you see first?, A patient has these symptoms, what would you do?) or work environment questions (i.e. If you had an issue with a co-worker on the floor, what would you do?)
You must be really excited! It's coming down to the wire!! I'm sure you did great!
Yeah I had an interview there as well. I thought it went well but I have killed interviews in the past and have not been hired. I think we should find out today, perhaps even should have found out yesterday which of course given that I have not heard anything does not leave me with much hope as I am sure they contact the people they want to hire first.
Regardless, I hope all the best in the world for you. let me know when you know.
HI icuuci,
Both units told me they would let me know next week... man, this wait is agonizing! What unit did you interview with? ICU? I interviewed with acute care units, not ICU or Maternity... My interviews with the two different acute care units were completely different.... one was really long and thourough.. the other was shorter and more condensed
@Faith...
The scenario question was more like:... you have a patient, with XYZ.. with XYZ symptoms and you are about to do xyz procedure...explain how you would go about patient teaching...
