Hey,
I applied for RN residencies at both UCSF and Stanford during the week of May 10th, 2010. I wanted to hear from anyone who has applied to either program AND has been contacted by a recruiter. Or from anyone who knows for certain (i.e., you work there) when theses decisions will be made. I am a fairly strong candidate and would like to believe I am in the running for a position--but who knows really? I will post if and when I hear anything.
Best of luck.
For UCSF, I hadn't heard from them in a while and then on 6/10 I got a response that said:
"Thanks for your inquiry regarding the UCSF Medical Center RN Training Programs. We have completed our prescreening of applicants. We received over 700 applicants for the 16 openings. Competitive candidates have been sent to the various managers for interview consideration. We will be interviewing June 8 to June 25 based on availability of the managers. Hiring decisions will be made by the end of the month. If you have not heard back from us by the end of June you can make the assumption that you were not selected to interview. Unfortunately the large number of applicants preclude us from contact everyone directly to advise them of their status. Best of luck!"
I was devastated since interviews had started and I hadn't heard anything. Then an hour later they emailed me saying I had an interview (panel, like the others had mentioned). Mine's not until the end of June.
For STANFORD, it took some finagling to get my references in since my school uses an online credentials service so I never have the actual files to upload them to an app, but it did get done and I didn't hear from THEM for a while either. My status was still "incomplete," then they emailed me yesterday saying they were just behind on the processing and that I was now "in process" and ready for a prescreen interview.
So basically, don't give up hope yet, they're still getting back to people. Good luck everyone!
