Hello, everyone! UCSF opened a couple of new RN Training Program for January 2014. Just wanted to start a thread. Did anyone else thought the application was abnormally short? I only attached a resume. Did you attach anything else? Good luck!
Unfortunately, application is closed, Parminder. :-(
My friend just called HR and told me this:
HR will finalize reviews by the end of this week and then forward selected applicants to hiring managers. Calls should go out for interviews by the end of Nov. They are extending the start date to sometime in Feb, as it gives Dec grads an opportunity to get their license.
I called HR again, the total application tally (this means if you applied for 5 positions, you were counted as 5) is.... 15,910. If you were lucky enough to be forwarded to a hiring manager AND you are lucky enough to be chosen for an interview you will be called around the last week of November. I was forwarded to PICU an PCICU, 2 of the 6 I applied to. Any other PICU, PCICU applicants out there? (HR wouldn't tell me how many were forwarded for each position or exactly how many they would be hiring)
I just called and received same timeline information but she said she could not look up to see if my résumé had been forwarded. (Sad face) calls should be made for interviews by end of November and no word on how many positions besides "a few per dept.". Hr reps are so nice , I feel like a bother when I call. Good luck!
I called and asked. I called HR and asked if they could answer some questions for me, they were pretty nice. But if I look at my application status they are all the same, including the ones I was already rejected for, so it seem's you can't tell unless you call, or are patient, which I am not. Good luck!!

Thanks. I imagine they are inundated with calls a lot so I will go the patient route :-)

I think by pre-screening questions, they meant the questions asking for our credentials, education, and preceptorship.
