UCSF New RN Grad Training Program 2014

Published

Hello, everyone! UCSF opened a couple of new RN Training Program for January 2014. Just wanted to start a thread. Did anyone else thought the application was abnormally short? I only attached a resume. Did you attach anything else? Good luck!

I just got an interview for the ICN! I was trying to see if i could find the original job positing. Is this the new grad program that makes you make the two year commitment?

is it a phone interview? did you do preceptorship for ICN? Congrats:)

How did you find out kiwisweetiee? Did they call or email you? I haven't been able to find the original posting either, so not sure about the commitment. Congratulations, you must be so excited!!

I got a phone calll this morning for the administrative assistant setting up an interview at the hospital. I did do my preceptorship in the ICN and had a summer internship at a ICN.

yay! congrats on the interview kiwisweetiee! As I understand it, and of course I could be mistaken, it is "highly encouraged" that you do 2 years at your unit minimum, however you would not have to sign a contract. Hospitals that are part of the CNA can't force you to sign a contract with penalties for leaving early. Also, be aware, if you do sign a contract, you wont qualify for most loan forgiveness programs or loan repayment programs. If you don't mind me asking, when is your interview? Good luck!

I got a call today from a recruiter on the PICU today, I will have an interview next week. Anyone else heard from the PICU? I heard they are interviewing 25 people, good luck to everyone!!!

Thanks :-) Yes I had a 275 hours preceptorship in a NorCal PICU, I graduated in May 2012, and have been working in a rural ER for the past 9 months.

Any news from ucsf?

Just had my interview with ucsf for the ICN. I am not sure how it went. Don't think I did great:( had over 100 apps forwarded to them, 25 interviews for 4-6 spots.
