UCSF New Grad Residency Program April 2021

I just wanted to make sure there was a place to talk about the New Grad Residency Program at UCSF that begins April 2021. Does anyone know how many applications they expect to receive for this cycle? Also, does anyone have insight to which units will open for the October 2021 New Grad cycle?  

Has anyone here interviewed for the Neurological ICU? It's the only application of mine that ever went under review (the other 6 still just say "applied). 

Also, has anyone here applied for the RN residencies Division of General Medicine or Otolaryngology?

Hi! I interviewed with multiple units.  Each unit had different interview formats, some had phone screenings, video recordings, interviews with managers, 2nd interview with bedside nurses, etc.  I think it depends on the unit how/when they ask for references.  HR emailed with the reference requests after my interview.  I was told by HR that our references could be used for all units and would be valid for 6 months.

Hello everyone, did anyone hear back from peds transitional care? or surgical? I emailed the coordinator, but haven't got a message back about status. Has anyone else reached out?

Did you interview with them? I haven't heard at all. My status for all of the pediatric units are under review, except for peds transitional which hasn't been looked at.

I have a good friend patiently waiting who is not on here. I'll let you know if I hear anything!

Does anyone know if interviews have completed for Neuro ICU? I am not on facebook so I'm not sure if it was discussed there.  That's the only of my apps that is even under review.  Thanks in advance for any info!

Someone on fb asked for advice on a Neuro ICU interview, but I don’t know anything other than that.

Hi everyone! As an update for anyone who applied for the Pediatric CICU - I got a phone call today about an interview. Anyone else? Sounds like they are doing the first round of interviews tomorrow and Friday. Not sure if there will be a second.

I Applied to 6 units. All of them under review. Background: I applied to ICU and intermediate care units since my preceptorship was in an ICU.

I was flat out rejected from PICU (no interview). However, I received an email from UCSF to provide references even though I had no interviews scheduled. A day later, I received an email from the PCICU. They asked for a 5 minute video for the managers to review, which would be used to see who would go onto next round interviews.

Today, I received an email for an interview tomorrow with the PCICU managers.

Did everyone who was interviewed receive a reference request email or does it vary by unit?
