UCSF New Grad Residency Program April 2021

I just wanted to make sure there was a place to talk about the New Grad Residency Program at UCSF that begins April 2021. Does anyone know how many applications they expect to receive for this cycle? Also, does anyone have insight to which units will open for the October 2021 New Grad cycle?

Did they send you a rejection email? I wasn’t contacted about a second interview but never got a formal rejection email from them.

Oh ? I interviewed for Neuro Acute Care. Really thought they were great! Bummed to hear about the references. On to the next...

I am not 100% positive they have asked for Neuro ICU references actually. I talked to someone on facebook who interviewed there and I just checked my messages and she actually did not tell me if she got references yet. I can ask.

I got a rejection e-mail after my first interview.

My friend who only interviewed for ICN and made it to the second round just received a reference check email - did anyone else?

Okay so she did get asked for references. I'm sorry. I don't know if that means anything though.

Well...different people. 6L - Neuro Transitional Care Unit; 8L is Neuro Acute Care; 8 is Neuro ICU. Three different departments. Then there is many other MS units/ICUs; some surgicals; ED; and the like. I interviewed 8L Neuro Acute Care.

So Neuro Acute Care sounds like it is different so I wouldnt count yourself out then

I also haven’t heard back after my first interview. I haven’t gotten a formal rejection letter either so not sure if there’s still hope for a potential second interview?

IDK my interview was over a week ago and no reference check. But-I will keep your positive spirit!

It's easy to get discouraged! I am not sure how the whole process works/if different units do things differently!

I didn’t hear anything back after the first interview either but I emailed them a little while ago. They just emailed me a rejection
