Just wanted to start a separate thread for those whom have applied for UCSF's traditional MSN program for Fall 2014. I personally applied for AGNP program, crossing fingers. I initially wanted to apply last year but welcomed our 3rd child last August and thought it might be too much to take on at the same time.
From checking out some older threads and asking Student Affairs, it looks like we won't get word until late March or even early April.
Congrats to those who got accepted! I too got the notification yesterday that I was accepted into the MSN program. I chose the psych NP track and am really excited about it.. My heart was pounding as I checked my email, and when I clicked on the link and saw the word "congratulations", I was in ecstasy, lol!!! Keep in touch guys!!!
Hi! I went to the information session just last week and it was indicated specifically that Statistics had to be taken within the past 3-5 years. I took mine in 2006 so I was so worried. I even clarified this with the speaker and she did say that I would have to retake the class since I took it more than 5 years ago. However, in less than a week, I found out that I got in!! So I say... don't worry about it!!!
Hi, everyone. I am also aspiring to get into the MSN-AGNP program, and I have not heard from them yet. Congratulations to those who got in. For those who are waitlisted, did the school of nursing gave you a timeframe as to when they will know if you are for sure in? And to those who got denied, what is your next step? Are you guys planning to reapply next school year again?
I spoke to SJ Monday of last week to ask re: the decision on the AGNP specialty and he said in a couple of weeks; so I'm guessing since it's already Friday, we might not hear results until next week... I know it sounds ridiculous, but could not help but still log into the site, since PMHNP and FNP results already came out...

Cool, yeah I was a little worried because I went to one of those info sessions and they said they really want Stats taken within 6 years, even though the website didnt specify. Did you have lots of volunteer experience?
