Just wanted to start a separate thread for those whom have applied for UCSF's traditional MSN program for Fall 2014. I personally applied for AGNP program, crossing fingers. I initially wanted to apply last year but welcomed our 3rd child last August and thought it might be too much to take on at the same time.
From checking out some older threads and asking Student Affairs, it looks like we won't get word until late March or even early April.
yeh i did talk to the coordinator by chance yesterday. told her about the urgency since i'm oversea student and already called upon for scholarship first round interview in my hometown. Yet she answered via email that she can't tell me the admission result till mid-june due to highly competitive admission pool and applications . So right now im in wait list
The worst part is that i could only apply to UCSF this time because of stats :(
No UCSF doesn't require GRE for international applicant. What i meant to say was this year i have only applied to UCSF just because it doesn't require any other test except IELTS. Whereas other US top ranked universities do. So im going to take GRE in June and probably will take all my chances for next academic year.
Hello everyone! Congrats of all getting in, I applied to the AGNP program and was put as an alternate. Last week they offered me a spot as a Occupational and Environmental Health NP- this would still allow me to obtain my AGNP. Has anyone heard anything about this program, any advice would me much appreciated.
Congrats ksnurseks in being accepted!! I'm hoping to also get into the AGNP-OEH program after being wait listed for the regular AGNP.
Not to sure if there is a huge difference between the two programs other than that you take more classes and get a minor in OEH. Did they discuss any scholarship or grant opportunities with you already?
