UCSF MSN FALL 2014

Just wanted to start a separate thread for those whom have applied for UCSF's traditional MSN program for Fall 2014. I personally applied for AGNP program, crossing fingers. I initially wanted to apply last year but welcomed our 3rd child last August and thought it might be too much to take on at the same time.

From checking out some older threads and asking Student Affairs, it looks like we won't get word until late March or even early April.

Hi Hina, since the program starts in August, I believe you can hear back from the wait list all the way upto July.

Congratulations again to all those accepted! Finally got the courage to contact the FNP director and I was also told that due to my ranking being out of the top 10 I am very unlikely to be offered admission. Surprisingly, I was okay with this news because it's allowed me to move forward and accept my offer for admission to my alma mater - CSULB! Glad that I applied this year and have no regrets, no matter where we all end up going - I'm sure we will do great things as FNPs!

For those still waiting, I'll keep you in my thoughts and send you good vibes - the waiting period is truly excruciating!

Great choice tinatab!! A couple of my buddies are in that program and they love it. I was excepted to the program back in 2012, but wanted to move up to the bay area to be closer to family. I got 3 kids and need all the help I can get. :)

Actually not sure if I got into the regular AGNP or AGNP-OEH. My offer letter didn't specify. I'll call SJ tomorrow to figure it out. Thanks KELSRN and ISKA.

Congrats on getting a spot jojonavy!! I also applied for the straight AGNP, waitlisted & and now contemplating the AGNP-OEH. Which of the two did you end up getting into?

I got into the AGNP-OEH. I figured it was the same with AGNP but you just take a few more units and get a minor in Occupation Health.
