Hi everyone, I just wanted to start this new topic for those like myself who are interested in applying to the MEPN program for the 2020 cohort.

Nice should def be a plus. I have experience working with homeless adults and adolescents. I wonder what it is they specifically look for in a PMHNP applicant. So anxious.

I am going to turn in the goal statement and personal statement in a couple days. I cannot seem to find the courage to hit Submit yet. I have 3.86 GPA in my Bachelors and 3.4 in the science classes. I have not been in school for a while, but I have basically "grown" up in the healthcare field. I would at Stanford Cancer Center and have been an employee since 2006. I hope this is the information you are looking for? Did I read previously, you have applied to the program last year? Sorry if it was another person.
Thanks,
Dee

Hi! Awe, I have a feeling you will get in this time. I am sure you have had a chance to review and make amendments to your previous statement and such. Do you have any tips for me? The only part of application I left thus far is the additional back ground information part.
Also, my transcript section is still empty, how do I tell if all my transcripts have been received ?
How soon after you applied, did you receive the rejection letter ?
I am 33 and have been employed at Stanford Cancer Center from the age of 19. I basically did my GED, Pre-reqs for nursing, as well as my B.S all while working at Stanford. I have held various positions, but currently I work as a clinical administrative assistance in Sarcoma program. It is a unique position as it allows me to have direct patient care to provide education on various genetic testings, free drug applications and such. as well as work along side highly educated and motivated providers, nurses, pas , and nps.
I completed my B.S in 2009 and got married...had babies etc but now I am ready to pursue my main goal.
Hope this helps. I hope we both get in and be FNPs in the future.

@StanfordBee you can see if your transcripts were received by clicking on transcripts.
@Anisap I hope you get in this time! ?
Anyone else having trouble keeping their goal statement at 2 pgs? Also I looked everywhere but don't see a required font size.. I wonder if it's okay to play with it and the margins just a bit.
Hi all: I am working on getting this application in on time and curious how everyone is handling what seems to me a lot of overlap in the questions? Are you literally cutting and pasting answers from your Goal Statement to the Additional Information that asks the same thing?
Thanks, and good luck to all!

Hi Zando, I've just been trying to answer the direct questions being asked and if there is some overlap I think its okay. I wouldn't know though because this is my first time applying
