UCSF MEPN 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, I just wanted to start this new topic for those like myself who are interested in applying to the MEPN program for the 2020 cohort.

Hello
Anyone here whose native language isn't English? I am going to send an appeal to waive the TOEFL test to Mr. Johnson sometime today. I was not aware of TOEFL requirement.

I am sticking to FNP specialty, finally made up my mind. I have done part of the application and working on transcripts now. Did you guys mail the transcripts or e-mail to Steven Johnson?

Just as you all, I am nervous as well with the whole application process. I am wishing you all the best and hope we all get in and meet you all.

Sincerely,

Dee

I am wondering the same thing

It shows in the Education tab, click on Transcript. Initially I uploaded unofficial ones & that's all I was able to see, but once they update it with the official you'll see it there.

@StanfordBee I mailed some transcripts but then also to decided to email other ones, and email was so much better and processed quicker!

Hi, if you look at the attachment section on the right-hand side of every transcript order, you can see when they attach the official transcript. It usually takes about a week and a half for the school to receive and attach.

What are some examples of community-based activities?

Hey Everyone!

I'm glad I found this thread. This is my first time applying to UCSF and I am applying to the PMHNP program.

For the additional background are you guys using all 2700 characters?

Wishing everyone good luck

I just found out about TOEFL test yesterday. English is not my first language, so I emailed Mr. Johnson because on the website its state the test is requirement for international students. But thankfully I don't need to take it. I hope you don't have to take it either.

Hi there! I am also applying to the PMHNP specialty so good luck to use and everyone else. I don't think i'm going to use all the characters. My goal is to be as concise as possible and the people who read these have hundreds of applications to go through, so i don't think more words is necessarily better, unless all those words are critical to the prompt.

Hi,

I sent an inquiry and confirmed that I do not need to take the TOEFL since I learned English as well as the other language side by side. I am glad as it is one less this to worry about. ?

I sent all my transcripts electronically as well as mail. I got confirmation from Mr. Johnson he received electronic ones, so I should have waited. I was too paranoid.

Hey everyone!

So glad to see a thread set up because UCSF is my first choice school. I'm planning to apply to FNP but am considering AGPCNP since FNP is notoriously competitive. I have connections with professors from the school, so I'm looking forward to giving my best shot. Good luck to all of us!

it's good to have connection, please do share tips ?

Hi @cluo @PreNurseC !!

I'm also applying to the PMHNP program for the first time. What's you guys' background when it comes to psych?
