Hello. I recently attended the UCSF MEPN information session and I am really excited about the program. I am still finishing my pre-reqs and I want to be as ready as possible. Anyone else out there looking to apply for 2019?
Also,I would love any advice on rounding out my application for PMHNP.
Stats:
Undergrad theater major 3.3, Science and Pre-reqs (prob) 3.7
GRE Verb 48th %tile Quant 30th %tile Analytical 18th %tile
Work Exp: 10 useless years in the film business and then 3 years Admin at private practice and hospital
Volunteer: UCLA nursing, Suicide Crisis Hotline, Veteran's Administration Domicilliary
LOR: Prob only 4 really great ones. Is not sending 5 a bad idea?
I would love to hear from you!
Hi guys,After some thought, i'm going to need to hold off on applying for MEPN 2019. So much has happened these last 6 months that I believe that I am not as ready to apply like I had initially thought. I feel I should build up my application more and i'll look into applying next fall.
On that note, I am definitely going to keep an eye on this thread just to see how everyone is doing. I wish you all the best of luck!
Hope everything is well with you!
I used Helvetiva Neue - Light, it's at 9 pt font but it's readable and got me to two full pages lol. Also, going into CNM/WHNP! Was asking bc I think like 3 of us expressed our specialty haha.
We can do 9 point font?!?! I was under the impression that it had to be 12-point font, but I don't remember seeing that requirement now that I think about it... And that's cool! Best of luck to you! We have so little time left and I've been feeling so pressured :-(

I know, that's the only reason why I got it down to 9. I didn't see a requirement for font size. And thanks, best of luck to you too! We do, I'm trying to get my history together blaaaah
Is everyone planning on filling out the additional background information section? If so, what do they consider as community-based activities?
I plan on doing it! Basically, volunteer opportunities that you've participated in for your community (like local volunteer opportunities I think?)

I ended up copying and pasting but tweaking them a little; not too far off from my resume. Struggling on this personal history though, I hate talking about myself lol
