Hey everyone! Given that applications are due a month from today, I figured it was about time to start a thread. How are everyone's personal statements and applications coming?

Yea, not quite sure what kind of experience people are presenting as these are supposed to be "career changes," right? Anyways, glad that my letter said I "clearly meet the requirements for consideration" but that there were just not enough spots... I've got my fingers crossed for my U Penn interview on Monday. The admissions coordinator told me people coming in have years of experience as: 1) MA, 2) PCT, 3) CNAs. Many of them also have MPHs.

Hello, this has been quite a process. I applied to Yale, Columbia, OHSU, Vanderbilt and UCSF and some other schools in the Psychiatric/Mental Health track. I have been invited for an interview at Yale and UCSF but they are on the same day. Anyone else in this position? I had already sent the confirmation email to UCSF and now I'm going to ask either Yale or UCSF if I can reschedule...? :/ hmmmm I really want to do both in person and get a feel for the campuses. Honestly I don't think that UCSF has a much of an accommodating feel as Yale. They seem sewn very tight. BUT I am a Bay Area native and the thought of leaving everything I know is frightening.

Advice, other experiences?

This is so bizarre…I was told that my letter was sent out on Monday…and it's Saturday and i still haven't received anything! And I live in Seattle. I think I'm going to email them. Anyone else still waiting? I'm assuming it's a rejection but I would like to get a letter either way.

eb86 I received a letter today via email (which i thought was weird) that I wasn't invited to interview. Disappointed but oh well. Their program, including a lack of a BSN, wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I'm confident I'll end up in the right place! Good luck I hope you hear something soon!

newmy123 so weird about getting an email! I got my rejection letter via snail mail today. Not the program for us; we will get in to other great schools! Good luck and congratulations to everyone else who got interviews!
