Hey everyone! Given that applications are due a month from today, I figured it was about time to start a thread. How are everyone's personal statements and applications coming?
I registered just so I can help ease some peoples nerves a bit. I emailed UCSF yesterday and they said the following:As you can imagine, we had to get a pretty high volume of letters out and unfortunately we weren’t able to do it all at once, so some went out on Thursday, others on Monday. I tried to do them all at once but that raises the possibility for error. When mail leaves this office, it goes to the UCSF processing location, and only then does it go to USPS; this, as you can imagine, makes for some variance in delivery times. All the letters are out, though, so you should be hearing soon.
And I live in San Jose close to UCSF ad haven't received anything yet. Although I can't help but think they sent out acceptances on thursday and rejections on Monday. Best of luck to everyone, we should get letters either way.

Seems you are correct! Local here too, received my letter of rejection today... Well, good luck to all those who received the interview invite!! And to those who didn't, keep your heads up! There must be a school better fit for us out there :)
I went from can't hardly wait to get my letter, to not wanting to get it at all... I know mine is a rejection now since I haven't received it yet and I'm in San Jose. What was your GPA? That justification makes me irritated since they are suppose to look at applications holistically and that should be the last thing that disqualifies anyone.
Bay area local here as well.... I received my rejection letter today also. The online application portal still says "Under Review". The letter said the rejection was based on low undergrad GPA.
I'm sorry to hear that :/ Is your undergrad GPA lower than the "required" 3.0? I agree with vanessa.tomasso that a low GPA is a lame reason for rejection.
I live in the Bay area but have two residences and have my mail redirected to my north bay residence; I'm hoping that it's taking a while to get to me because of that redirection. But, I'm kind of expecting a rejection even though I applied with a 3.6 GPA while almost in my third year of BSN school.
