2014 UCSF MEPN Applicants

Published

Hey everyone! Given that applications are due a month from today, I figured it was about time to start a thread. How are everyone's personal statements and applications coming?

I meant to ask this earlier (I feel like I should know this, but I've forgotten), but does UCSF give preference to California residents?

I know in previous years they sent out rejections and interview invitations at the same time, but now I'm wondering if this year they just sent out interview invitations first

I can't lurk any longer! Do any of the interview invite recipients live on the east coast? The waiting is driving me a little nuts.

Actually, lena05, they didn't send out rejection letters last year. From what I heard, they only send out invitation/acceptance letters. I figure if I don't hear from them by Saturday, I will take it as a rejection and continue on with my current program.

Oh good to know StephenAndrews, thanks. Just saw on previous forums people knew if they were rejected at the same time as those who received interview invitations.

Anyone interested in any sight seeing while we're there? Looks like I'm coming for the January 31st interview. I've never been to California before :D

k_pro, I am in NYC and haven't gotten anything yet either :nailbiting:

Bay Area local here and haven't heard anything for FNP... With people's letters being postmarked 12/4, I'm starting to think it may be a silent rejection!

Bay area local here as well and haven't heard anything for AGNP. Dun dun dun!

I'm getting really worried too! But do we know if they are going to notify us even if we were rejected??

Like I said earlier, I didn't receive a rejection letter last year. I'm kind of expecting another rejection this year since I've yet to hear anything. =(

in the past others have logged into their application account and the letter that is sent out via snail mail is usually in e-format.... wait, that's for the decision letter! I know it's hard and you hate to hear it but just be patient !!
