I think it means it's just a freeze until they figure out their financial situation. And no I don't know when, But I can try and ask on Monday if I see her.

UCSD just updated my school and said they are cancelling August New Grad cohort. Sorry guys 😞

I started a thread in January about UCSD new grad program too, I didn't know this one was also created. As of right now I believe these are just rumors. I have reached out to HR to put rumors to rest, and got an automatic reply saying I'll get a reply in the next 1-3 days. UC Health is exempt from the hiring freeze. Contrary to other claims, this can be seen in their official blink. If you were referred and you check your application you can still see it active. I'm choosing to remain positive bc I also talked to my old manager and got word that it is still happening 🙂 prayers for all of us that got referred! They did say that they will reach out in one-two months and we are coming into that first month barely. Good luck

 I literally was talking to my friend about this today, she was my manager and knows  our higher ups/directors (and when I say higher ups I mean really high managerial positions) she reached out and she was told that the new grad program is happening. But then again I am still holding it as a rumor until I get my reply. It is really easy to email HR @ucsd. I will post an official update as soon as I get an answer. Which should be in 1-3 businesses days. I'm not really for the rumors, for either "yes it is happening" or "no it is cancelled". I do believe in the power of prayer and positivity and choose to remain that way 🙂 good luck to all!

I talked to the nurse manager on the unit where I'm doing my externship, and she said she received an email Friday saying the new grad programs won't be happening this time around. Maybe she meant for her unit specifically 😅 I'm stilll hoping for the best

Maybe, I'm not really sure how that other email chain started. But I got an official reply from UCSD HR and Talent acquisition. And I am very happy with it ☺️ not sure how that fits into the other email that people claim to have received, but this is verifiable and sounds more like UC, not grammar or misspelling errors, and very professional. So I guess we just have to wait and see 🙂 again good luck to all.
