  1. On the specialty unit interview stage is says 'not retained' on the general 'Graduate Nurse - Adult RN Residency Program' it still says under consideration.
  2. Just got an e-mail saying I was not retained for 14a. Best of luck to everyone in this application cycle.
  3. Scripps does a similar thing, where they link you to a video interview after the app. It seems to be purely a screening tool.
  4. My first choice was also Surgical/Neuro ICU. It's a bummer that it's not for ICU, but I'm willing to start anywhere to get experience. As per the Loma Linda Website: "The Troesh Surgical and Trauma Care Units (14A and 15A *32-beds each) are step down inpatient units providing acute and intermediate levels of care to surgical and multi-system trauma patients. The unit provides continuous nursing care for young adults through geriatric adults under the care of the following services: Acute Care Surgery, General Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, ENT Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urological Surgery, and other specialty surgical services. Nursing care is designed to support patients requiring: continuous cardiac monitoring, pain management, nutritional support (TPN, enteral feedings), and wound care."
  5. Has anyone who applied to ICU as their first choice gotten their interview phase updated with an ICU unit?
  6. Going by what RUHS did, it was a screening interview like we just did and they called us in maybe a week to set up a panel interview. At RUHS there were 5 panel members and each one asked at least one question.
  7. Yes, I applied to SICU/neuro but mine has changed to 14A (interview phase), which I believe is the surgical/trauma step-down unit. so true! Thank you for being so positive.
  8. I completed my video on June 20th at around 10 pm, if that helps.
  9. If we interview but don't make the cut to our specific unit, would there still be a chance for them to offer our second or third choices? I've heard that this can happen, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of an instance where it has occurred before.
  10. nvm, I totally missed that mine said Surgical Care 14A. I guess I was looking for something that said ICU or SICU on it.
  11. So mine has a generic 'Interview Phase'. Why are people getting specific units for the interview phase? My first choice was Neuro/SICU, followed by behavioral health, and then DOU, I believe.
  12. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center closed their application in 30 min because it reached 300 applications. RUHS, where I interviewed a few weeks ago had around 400 applicants. If the IE is getting this many, I would think a Level 1 trauma center in LA county is getting a lot more applicants.
  13. I don't think they give any advanced warning. I was notified through my school's clinical placement coordinator.
