UCONN CEIN 2016

Published

Hi everyone! I thought I would start this thread to see who is or will be applying for UCONN's CEIN 2016 accelerated nursing program! I am new to this board, but read several threads from last year and learned a lot about the program and application process. It would be great to hear from others who are in the same boat as me. :)

I applied to the Storrs location for the January 2015 deadline and I recieved an acceptance letter this past week for the January 2016 class!

Hi,

I applied to the Waterbury campus and I also have not heard anything. I was also getting nervous because it appears people from other campuses have heard. Hopefully we will hear this week, I will post as soon as I hear anything. Best of luck to you!

I am confused as to why some people have heard and others havent. Shouldnt they let us all know one way or another?

Congrats!! I applied to the Waterbury program but have not heard anything yet. Hopefully, that is not bad news... I had one prerequisite to complete but finished that and submitted the transcript on yesterday. Has anyone else heard that applied to Waterbury?

If your application was not complete by the deadline (all your prereqs complete), they may not have reviewed your application. I applied for the August deadline with one prereq to do in the fall, and got in. My original plan was to apply for June, but was told not to bother because they wouldn't look at an incomplete application during the earlier review sessions.

If they were behind in reviewing applications, there's a chance they looked at yours when you sent in the last of your coursework late, but most likely they put it aside for the June review.

I have not heard anything and I applied to Waterbury as well. I have two pre-reqs that I am currently in the process of completing.

If you're still taking classes that means you have been bumped back to the June or August round depending on when you'll be done with your prereqs. Been there, done that - applied last January and had to wait until September to hear. :/

Hi all I was just wondering if there are still people waiting to hear back from the CEIN program that sent in their app. for the Jan review? As I did all my prereqs already and sent in the app for the Jan session review and still haven't got a letter back for either good or bad news and just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Thanks for any help

I finished all my pre reqs and I haven't heard either so you're not alone. However, I talked with them yesterday and they said the committee was reviewing more application that day and I would hear a response within a few days. Hopefully this is accurate because they originally told me I would hear in the beginning of March.

I sent in my application at the end of March and havebeen waiting patiently(not really I want my letter now!) I am still taking 2 prereq now with one more to complet in the summer. I send the admission prove of my enrollment and they said I will be reviewed. However, I don't know if I will be reviewed right away or have to wait til the end of June deadline. The anticipation is killing me !

The next date they would review is June, and they don't do rolling admission so you would would get put in the next pile. And not to be a debby downer but PLEASE don't be surprised if they tell you in June/July you have to be in the August round because you're still taking a class. I was told to my face they'd review me two review dates before they actually looked at my application and each time I asked why I got put back AGAIN when I was told I'd be reviewed they claimed to have never told me they would look at applications with outstanding classes before the August round. Just be patient. :) (And I do understand how difficult that can be...)

Thanks for the reply.. Well I just guess I have to be patient then. Are you already in the program? If so, can you tell me what you think about it? How does the class and clinical schedule work? How do they decide where to put your clinical hour? Is there disadvantage of taking the program in Avery Point instead of the main campus?
