Hi Everyone!
I saw many other threads from the previous years so I figured I would start a new one for the 2018 cycle. I recently got accepted after applying for the February 17th deadline to my first choice, Avery Point. I just wanted to connect with everyone else that is interested in this program or anyone that is going to be in this program!
I'm really excited to hear from you all and good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear back or applying for the other deadlines! :)
I got my acceptance letter for Storrs!
I also spoke to UCONN and they told me as long as your FAFSA is on file, they will send you your financial aid package once you make your deposit and the School of Nursing adds you to their roster. Basically they said just to wait.
Congrats to everyone who has heard back; hopefully everyone else hears soon!
OK, so I reviewed an email with the "check list", nothing was attached, just statement: "
We will be asking for health requirements to be completed by mid-October in hopes that they might be completed by the time they must be uploaded to American Data Bank (our new repository) in early November.
Students must have a titer showing positive immunity to Hepatitis B, in addition to other immunities. This is new! Cannot go to clinical without having positive immunity or having 2 complete Hepatitis B series, with no immunity (and then waiver may be utilized)."
Did anyone call about it? I need to schedule an appt with my doctor and it would be very helpful to have it all in one place.
Congratulations to everyone receiving their acceptance letters and best of luck! I have a few quick questions regarding UConn's CEIN prerequisites. Can someone please private message me? Thank you in advance.
Hey! If you haven't received a response yet, it might be because on this site people are required to have a certain number of posts prior to being able to private message other individuals. I'm sure if you post your questions though someone would be happy to respond =)

Hi EmmaKateEmi!
Thank you for the response. I just learned that after I posted and was bummed! I had posted a few questions a while back but only received a guess for them and was thinking maybe they were overlooked. My questions/concerns were about the prerequisites. I know that if you retake classes for a higher grade, UConn's CEIN will factor both grades into the cumulative GPA but I am not sure how they factor the prerequisite GPA. I understand each prerequisite has a minimum letter grade associated with it but I want to know if UConn accepts ONLY the highest grade (usually the retaken grade) or if they average both grades? For example, if I retook Chemistry and received a C at first but then an A, do they accept only the A or a B (average)? Also, do they limit the amount of retaken courses? I am trying to gauge and see if UConn's CEIN is a program I can get into. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.37, about two years of PCA/Nursing Assistant experiences and two medical missions under my belt. Coupled with my BS in Allied Health from UConn.
Thank you in advance.
