UCONN CEIN/BS 2018

Published

Hi Everyone!

I saw many other threads from the previous years so I figured I would start a new one for the 2018 cycle. I recently got accepted after applying for the February 17th deadline to my first choice, Avery Point. I just wanted to connect with everyone else that is interested in this program or anyone that is going to be in this program!

I'm really excited to hear from you all and good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear back or applying for the other deadlines! :)

Hi all,

I applied for the June 30 review as well. I received the email today about the "CEIN clinical checklist". I promptly called and was told this does not mean I have been accepted. They are still reviewing applications. I asked when letters were to be sent out and was told Monday or Tuesday. So should be soon!

did they send that clinical checklist to everyone ???

She told me they sent it to everyone who applied/ had their money in and everything.

Received the clinical checklist. Getting super excited. Good luck all.

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've checked the discussion board, but when I received the health requirement checklist I figured I would check in! Good luck to those who are still waiting for acceptance letters, I hope you guys hear soon!

I think someone above asked when orientation is...it's October 13th on the Storrs campus. I was informed we would have another smaller orientation on our individual campuses after the main one at Storrs, probably sometime in December. Also someone had asked about financial aid...I submitted my FAFSA at the beginning of the year when I applied but that was due to the fact that I applied to other schools who required that info sooner because their programs would have been starting August 2017. Not sure if I'll have to resubmit after October 1 to qualify for Spring 2018 financial aid... The FAQ section of the UConn Financial Aid page says that Spring 2018 financial aid packages will be sent out mid-November.

I really hope that emails are meant for those who are accepted and not all applicants. It sounds pretty directive to me...anyone did not receive the checklist?

yes. yes and yes

How soon after you found out did you have to send in your deposit?

When I applied for the February 17th deadline, I didn't get my acceptance letter until March 25th and the deposit was required by April 3rd. I think some people had already heard the week before I did, which gave some more time.

Hi guys. I got an email yesterday with my acceptance letter to Storrs campus :) I had applied in Feb but finished my prereq in May so technically, I got accepted for the June 30 deadline!

Good luck to those who are still waiting!

Also, just wondering. Has anyone ever gotten their $500 deposit fee waived due to financial reasons?

I think orientation is October 13th.
