UCLA Summer 2019 New Grad Residency

Hi everyone,

Just starting a thread for all of us who've applied for UCLA's summer residency program.

What units did you apply to? Internal? External? Good luck everyone! ?

whew interview is complete. had three interviews within 8 days and its a wrap . ucla wont notify us until mid-july like danggg talk about holding us out LOL. until then I guess I'm still applying to other new grads, keeping my options open and staying occupied. thank goodness the unit doesn't do second interviews and my sincere blessings to all that are mandated to attend a second interview . the questions were basic, personable I had a word fart at one moment and my interviewer laughed at me when i told her this but overall it went well for the most part.

but july will decide my verdict . wishing yall good luck

It's getting real! But yeah, July is so far away

Just one! Was supposed to be 2, not sure why that changed

Did you also apply for the temporary license when you endorsed?

@ksed3 I did not. I did a little research and everything I read said the temporary license fee was not worth it because the official license was issued within a week of the temporary.

Hey all, just wanted to update that I got an interview for a Med Surg floor at RR. There were two interviewers, and I really brought my personality but I also felt like I fumbled a little bit so I'm not sure how to feel. I was told decisions will come out in July, so please wish me some good luck/send me some good karma/ pray for me because I'd really love to have this job.

For future viewers of this post who are curious about the timeline I got my interview invite May 29th, Interviewed the 31st, and was told I will hear back from the unit manager or HR in July. Oh also, I'm an internal applicant!

In the meantime I'm applying for other programs and trying to stuDY for NCLEX ? Good luck to all throughout this stressful process!

Hi! I also interviewed with 5MN on Friday the 24th. Do you know how many people were interviewed? I am really hoping we find out before late July! :(

Hi Guys! Just wondering if anyone on here applied for RR PICU. I just want to hear their input on how their interview went! I applied for Gen. Pediatrics as my first choice and got an interview for my second choice which was PICU! Had two interviews today for that unit as well.

Hey! I did two interviews with PICU as well! I loved it! Do you happen to know how many did second interviews/what the time line is on hearing from them? Best of luck ?
