UCLA Summer 2019 New Grad Residency

Hi everyone,

Just starting a thread for all of us who've applied for UCLA's summer residency program.

What units did you apply to? Internal? External? Good luck everyone! ?

Was anyone told about a second interview? At the end of my perinatal interview, they asked me about availability next week for possibly a second interview.... but I didn't get an official phone call or email so far.

@stressednewgrad3000 do you mind me asking where you interviewed? Was it at RR or SM?

Yes I was told about a second interview in the next few weeks. I think they’ll call within the next week or two!

The past cohort (2018) had September 10 and 24 start dates so it would be September 9 and 23, 2019. I interview on June 4, I can ask.

has anyone heard from the Medical-surgical ICU at Santa Monica?

Is anyone interviewing for the program as an out-of-state grad? If so, did anyone register for the other state's boards?

I am from Michigan. I decided to take the NCLEX and register in Michigan. It took me less than two weeks from graduation to get my license. I just wanted to get the NCLEX done. I applied two weeks ago for my CA license via endorsement.

Thank you! I highly recommend UWorld if you are studying for the NCLEX. 10-12 Weeks for Licensure and Endorsement. Applications submitted April 16-30, 2019 are currently being processed.

Did you interview already?
