whew interview is complete. had three interviews within 8 days and its a wrap . ucla wont notify us until mid-july like danggg talk about holding us out LOL. until then I guess I'm still applying to other new grads, keeping my options open and staying occupied. thank goodness the unit doesn't do second interviews and my sincere blessings to all that are mandated to attend a second interview . the questions were basic, personable I had a word fart at one moment and my interviewer laughed at me when i told her this but overall it went well for the most part. but july will decide my verdict . wishing yall good luck

  6. Prior to taking the NCLEX on my first attempt I studied Hurst, Kaplan and did Uworld and on top of it all I was faced with multiple distractions that hindered my studies. Unfortunately, I had no luck in passing on my first attempt. Upon deciding on what I turn too, I researched AHEC through Yelp. Looking at the price I was hesitant at first but after reading testimonials, I gave it a shot. I’m glad I invested in the course and I felt it was well worth the money. In my case, I attended two 8 day sessions to ensure that I understood the material as well as the most important parts to excel on the NCLEX. As soon as I entered that class I felt that I belong there and that it was faith that got me here. With the help of our Mr *** and Mrs ****, I was able to build trust, patience and most importantly refocus . Mr *** will make sure you leave each class understanding the material as well as the most important parts. He is also really sweet and funny. Mr. *** will go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. Not only did this program condense and narrow the material, but it gave me the confidence that I needed all along, and I began believing in myself once more. I made sure that I had a regular study schedule in work and master Mr *** content. When took the NCLEX again on February 22, 2019, I prayed on daily b as I can and exhaled all the anxiety I had leading to the exam. My exam stopped at 149 questions, and a few days later I found out I Passed. Words can not describe the moment that is finally setting in for me.I thought this would be a hurdle that I could never get over. But by the grace of God, I did it. I would like to thank Mr *** and Mrs **** for helping me achieve this dream. 10 years in the making but it was all worth the wait. To Future LVN\RN’s, American Healthways Education Center’s NCLEX refresher is the best NCLEX review center. The instructors Mr *** and Mrs **** are very knowledgeable and encourage students to ask questions in addition to explaining difficult concepts in a simple manner. Make sure you study some of the content prior to attending the class so you have a good grasp of the material going in. I pray that you all get the confidence that you need. You are all capable and can do anything you set your mind to. I wish you all the best

Also thanks to FJD13- That would be awesome if USD decided to implement a split cohort this year. One of the info sessions I attended I remembered the new building being under construction, how exciting is that!! For one it's going to be as gorgeous as their campus :-)

Hello, I was able access my portal as well. Just to chime in on what the PP mentioned, I received a link on 11/13 from JB so that should help narrow down your search;) hey FJD13, I know we are awaiting the interview notifications soon, but do you know by any chance how many applicants for this cycle? I heard that they accept about 40-50 and the second year MEPN has about 61 students, which is by far their largest cohort.

hey guys, OMG we are that much closer to getting our acceptance letters. I hope and pray that we all get in. Is U of R hard to get into?. What I like about their program is that your guaranteed a job within the area and you can transition into an advanced degree :-). My stats are 3.16 gpa, pre-req gpa is 3.7 because I redid both anatomy and physiology, stats, and nutrition for a better grade. My BS is in Public Health with a minor in Social Gerontology, I have volunteered at my university's health center, multicultural health awareness internship, which encounters assists those living in low income communities with free health services and lastly I did clinical care extender. I'm also anxiously waiting as well and it would awesome to leave Cali for a bit . Good luck to those who have interviewed, waiting, I am hoping for the best news.

Hi IBCLC2RN, So while I was checking my status, mines just says Committee review, now I'm really getting antsy:unsure: eeekkk. USD is my number one choice and I'd be devastated if I do not get in. From previous forums, the interview letters do not get sent out until the first week of January so now I breathe and pray about this. Best of Luck to you all
