UCLA New Grad Spring 2024

Published

Hi I recently applied for the Spring 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread yet. How is everyone's application going?

Just received an email about my application being forwarded to hiring manager. Applied for ED!

I had received an email that my application was being forwarded to the hiring manager a couple hours ago! I applied to the NICU ? Hopefully this is a good first step!

Congratulations! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. What are you doing to prepare for the interview?

Way to go!! Congratulations! ? I wonder if the interview is in person or on zoom?

I got the email today that it's in review too. Applied to perinatal. Does anyone know how many people they're accepting for each unit?

Def thinking about what not to do. I botched up my PICU interview with CHLA so like I'm gonna try to really hyper-analyze right now

I applied last cycle and my interview was over zoom and I'm pretty sure everyone else's was too. Some units had two interviews from what I remember

Received an email today asking me to provide one file with the following: Cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation. Good luck everyone!

Guys, I've never written a cover letter. I know I can just Google it, but if anyone has any leads on how to write one, please let me know. Thanks!

I thought the application period already closed? They are still allowing submissions at this time?

Not sure if the application period has closed. When I applied, I did not submit a cover letter or the letters of recommendation. I do not recall there being an option for me to upload more than one document, but maybe there was. I submitted my resume and that was about it. Now, they are asking me to email them everything.

wow you're lucky your application was sent to a hiring manager already! on the initial post it specified that all items (resume, CV, letters of rec) needed to be submitted as one file! glad they're letting you submit it now though

also I would tell you how to write one but I use a template that my school provided me that I tweak a bit for each position and today I realized in the last paragraph where it says to reach me at my (phone) or (email) I left it looking exactly like that without ever editing those...?
