Members are discussing their application statuses for job positions at UCLA, specifically focusing on tabs in the portal, waiting for offers, receiving alternate selections, and sharing experiences with the application process. Some users are sharing their disappointment at not receiving offers but are trying to remain positive and see it as a learning experience. Additionally, there is a discussion about whether UCLA accepts new grads from certain schools.
Hi I recently applied for the Spring 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread yet. How is everyone's application going?
Just finished catching up with this thread. Seems that we can't assume anything at this point. Wish those who are being asked questions would take the time to answer. I know we are all busy, but it would help everyone's anxiety if we get some answers. So weird that some units have already started to send both rejections and offers. I guess they are done interviewing (?). As far as the unit I am interviewing for SM5NW, their interviews go until 11/17 which is the day I am interviewing. I know it might be too late for some, but I still will come back here to let you know every detail I remember. Good luck everyone!

im sorry ? thats how I felt when I got rejected the 1st time around. I had over 5 interviews and all resulted in rejections. We just gotta keep trying... would you mind sharing what unit?

When I interviewed they told me they are not allowed to send offers until December because they notify everyone as a whole because it is a nurse residency program and not stand alone positions. I think it's safe to say whoever was "offered" was a troll, especially considering they never responded when asked what unit they were offered for.

I would make sure to highlight whatever ICU experience you had during clinical (e.g drip titration , invasive devices, mechanical ventilation etc), have some stories to refer to.
