hey thanks for starting the FB group, I just joined, too!!! so awesome.

I just got a 'soft offer' on friday, and I haven't heard back from the UD or HR yet about start date or any other specifics. I JUST got an email asking me to interview for another job this friday, and I have another interview scheduled on monday. I don't want to cancel the interviews until I know FOR SURE that the UCLA job is secure. I've had friends who were offered jobs over the telephone and then it was taken back. then there's the whole 'budget' thing, and Ive been burned with that before. Anyone hear from HR or have any advice on that?

Allie58D--you can't do 'livescan' fingerprint in NY state? there must be a way... Of course, I just went to the security/police station on my college campus, and this administrative assistant did all the live scan fingerprinting right there! So it doesn't seem too complicated. And, I bet it's a national company (can't imagine it's just local!). btw, cali BRN is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of by email or phone. I had professors suggest to just drive to sacramento and walk into the office, but I've had luck by just waiting on telephone hold for 45 min. the paperwork is pretty straightforward, I would just do it asap.

I just assume it meant telephone offer? because it feels pretty 'soft' until I see it on paper!

Has anyone been able to get in contact with Pediatrics? Today marked the 2 week mark but I have not been able to get in touch with the UD! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Hi folks, has anyone heard from RR UCLA General Surgery (8e/8w)? Its almost been a month since my interview and I did call to leave a f/u voicemail but to no reply. Currently I'm contemplating a f/u email...what are your thoughts? Is it too forward/agressive or could be the right nudge?
