  1. I really like Rapid Interpretation of EKGs. I first saw it during nursing school, and again just this past weekend when I took a 12-lead course. It's been an awesome resource, and I highly recommend it. :)
  2. i called yesterday (Tuesday was one week since my interview) to follow up. left a voicemail. she called me back. left a voicemail. i called her back. she said she's unable to offer me a position at this time. i thanked her for taking the time to interview with me anyway, and she wished me luck. at least she followed up with me.
  3. UCLA isn't in the plans for me. on to the next one...
  4. is the UD of liver/surg ICU gonna call everyone regardless of whether they got the job or not?
  5. Freshnewnurse11, what is your other degree?
  6. what time did you have your interview? mine was @ 3, so i probably missed you someone mentioned it's the final interview (?) but we'll find out if/when she calls.
  7. i'm applying anywhere and everywhere. i'd love to stay in CA, just because it's home, you know? i'm open to out-of-state jobs too, but i'd have to pay for the out-of-state license(s), and any other fees that come with those licenses. i want to be guaranteed a job before i bother to fly out. money is a really tight issue, as i'm sure it's the same for all the other new grads out there. i do check indeed.com (that's how i heard about most of the new grad stuff i've applied to ). when i tried to sneak a peek on the manager's list, it looked like she interviewed 10 in each batch.
  8. i just saw another girl interviewing for L&D at the same time i interviewed for liver/surg ICU yesterday.
  9. you're welcome. i've been looking for a year now. i graduated in May 2010 with a BSN. the first time i applied, i was never notified after the talentplus interview, no waitlist, no official rejection email, nothing. so i assumed i wouldn't be getting an interview. for this round, i applied and followed up this time. i'm a little iffy about follow ups, because in the past, whether i followed up or not, i would get some kind of rejection anyway. tell your daughter good luck as well. the fact that the manager is hiring 10 seems like pretty good odds. i will keep my fingers crossed for us :)
  10. oh ok. well i managed to take a glance on a piece of paper that looked like a list of all the people who were up for interviews. when i got the call to interview, i was given three different times to choose from, so including me, there were 3 people for sure who were interviewed today. there may have been more. she said next week we should be hearing back.
  11. just had my interview with the liver ICU UD. a littler nerve racking, but i think i did ok. i know i could've added more to my answers now that i think about it :smackingf to anyone who interviewed for liver/surg ICU already, was it your first interview so far? are you just waiting to do a second interview, or for a job offer?
  12. Just received the email. On to the next one!
  13. i just go to the job listings, click on a random position to "apply" to, log in from there, and then i click the "applications" tab.
  14. any news yet? my status still says under review. sorry, i meant to put LA on the title of the thread
