Summer hopefuls talk here.... good luck to us all!!! :nurse: :redbeathe

For those of you who have in person interviews lined up, can you tell me what day you are interviewing and for what unit(s)? So far I have seen only April 11th...trying to get a feel for what the options are. Thanks!

Parlislon - what units did you apply? They were verifying L&D vs. NICU. I didn't even know L&D was an option. Let's hope this is a good sign. Good luck!

Were they calling to confirm you choices or schedule an interview?

that's the call I got...so many questions....I did not have time to ask the lady anything, she was very brief and to the point!! Not sure why L/D. that what not an option I believe when we chose! Let's keep our fingers crossed, and our spirits up!!!

and no it was not for an interview...

did you choose L&D or NICU?

I got the same call just now! I applied for NICU as my first choice! At least I know that their reviewing my application right now but I wish instead of being a verification call, it was actually a in person interview call! Finger cross the next call will be just that! Congrat again to everybody who got their in person interview and good luck to the rest of us!!

Specializes in Oncology.

I would like to think that the oncology dept is taking their sweet time. And if they don't want me then forget them...I'm better off without them! :)

springybaybee: What does the waitlist email say? Does it give you any indications of timelines, etc?

I got an interview for ICU on April 11th!! Such a relief!! Sounds like they are doing all the ICU interviews on the 11th when I talked to recruitment.

Congrats!! Which ICU is yours for? I wonder if they are only interviewing for our first choice...

I'm sorry, Springybaybee:( Keep your head up and keep exploring every lead. If you live in the LA area, there is a NurseWeek Job Fair tomorrow in downtown LA. It doesn't sound like it's geared toward new grads - the online description said that it's geared more toward nurses with experience who can get right in there and start working. From what I remember from your previous posts, you have a lot of clinical experience (if I'm wrong about that, I'm sorry! I've "met" a lot of people on these boards!) . . . you might be just what they're looking for!!

PS- I would not let the online description stop any new grads from attending the job fair! You never know. . .
