Just a reminder ... please do not post staff or faculty names in the forums. This violates allnurses Terms of Service (TOS). Thanks! :)

KUDOS!!for (moderator edit of name) at UCLA human resources, she was very nice and took time to talk to me about the selection process when i called. It made me feel good just to be able to talk to her!

So good luck everybody! Thanks for keeping us informed about this grueling process.

How does it work?

Im curious about the selection process as well! :)

Specializes in Telemetry.
Has anyone ever gets in UCLA new grad program with an ADN?

Anyone?

Specializes in Nursing.
Anyone?

I work at UCLA right now as a CNA and I've seen many nurses that are ADN but from what I understand, UCLA is now only hiring BSN or higher. It may be because UCLA (at least RR is) now Magnet recognized. I think they'll still hire ADN if you already work there or if you're extra special and amazing. Hopefully that answers your questions.

A little bit of my stress is relieved! All my references have submitted the skills survey now I just need to wait for my Talent Plus interview on Tuesday!

Thanks, lovepeacelove! I've heard about this from a friend and I guess that's the only way to get in. Maybe I'll have more luck next year when I'm done with my BSN. :)

I had my Talent Plus interview today. It was an hour long and consisted entirely of behavioral questions...wasn't something I could have prepared for. Does anyone know what the timeline is for hearing something back, whether positive or negative? I think I did well, but only time will tell!!

Hey Goody,

Good luck and hope you made it. Your right, there really was no way to prepare for the phone interview. I read somewhere they would notify us until May but I am not 100% sure. I was thinking of calling the HR department to ask them. Maybe someone can chime in and let us know.

Could you please let us know how the selection process goes...

I'm a little bummed because I applied in the first hour or so of the first day the application was open and never received an email or Talent Plus interview. I wonder if this means I won't hear from them...
