Published

Hi, everyone! I wanted to start this group for those who will or are still thinking about applying to UCLA's new graduate program!

We can talk about applying, any rumors we've heard or just anything in general.

I started a Facebook group too (since other groups have in the past):

Update:

Received an email from the Talent Acquisitions today prompting me to sign up for an interview on 11/27 for the PICU, that was the only day that was offered and from there I got to pick my time slot. Hope this information helps.

Good luck everyone!!!

Congrats!! When is your interview?

Nov 27th!

Does anyone know anything about the interview process/what kind of questions they ask? Are they all behavioral or do they throw in some clinical based questions?

Has anyone gotten an interview for an adult ICU?

I interviewed for the last cohort (unfortunately didn't get hired then) and the process is pretty similar for all of the units. Everyone interviews in the Wilshire Building (separate from the hospital) and most interviews are about 15-30 minutes long with 2-5 staff (unit directors, supervisors, charge RNs, etc). Some units will invite people to tour the unit and continue the interview (but getting invited sometimes is a courtesy to all interviewees rather than a selection process, so it doesn't mean you have a better chance or not) but not all units do this. Only very few actually do. Some units choose to hold second round interviews, some do not.

As far as questions do, they're primarily behavioral and situational questions, but some will throw in basic clinical questions (ex. priority, delegation, next steps).

Hope that helps! :)

Hey guys! I was emailed last Friday for an interview for PICU (2nd choice) on November 27. Just wanted to share for those who are waiting to here back. Good luck to all.

I heard of a few people getting CT and reg ICU interviews but it seems like they are internal candidates.

My status still hasnt changed and I applied for the ICUs.
