Nurses New Nurse

Hi, everyone! I wanted to start this group for those who will or are still thinking about applying to UCLA's new graduate program!

We can talk about applying, any rumors we've heard or just anything in general.

I started a Facebook group too (since other groups have in the past):

none... I feel like for the people who haven't heard by now is rejected right..? bc the amount of new grads they are hiring for this cohort is super small.

Hi there,

I did the OR residency a year ago and I'm reaching out to see if anyone in the OR will need the required text books. They are Guidelines for perioperative practice 2016 edition and care of the patient in surgery 15th edition! I'm selling them for very cheap and you barely use them so will most likely not need an updated edition/year. If you are in the OR residency and are interested please reach out !

Hi! I'm interested in the Alexander's book - how can I contact you?

Hi Cali0088, Any advice on the OR program? What were your thoughts?

Specializes in ICU.

Hey everyone,

I will be applying to the new grad program for Fall 2018, and I was wondering if you have heard of spots available in different units and what units have no spots at all. Any advice?

Thank you!!

They'll let you know which units are hiring when you apply!

Those of you you interviewed and successfully started the new grad program...how long after you interviewed did you hear whether or not you were selected for a position in the program? What is the average time to hear back? Thanks!

Hello I recently had my first interview for perinatal for Summer 2018 cohort and super anxious to hear back. I'm just wondering what you feel made you stand out and how the program has been for you so far?

For those who applied and got an interview for PICU at UCLA, did you guys have experience in PICU?
