310-825-8141 is the number I called. I didn't ask for anyone specific, just asked for the status of my application to the woman that picked up the phone.

Wow, congrats! I think it's either a hit or miss with calling the nursing recruitment, because I've called about 4 times in the last week, and each time I called, they told me just to wait and see because "they're still making calls and will probably be making them until New Years." I've lost hope completely. Good luck to you!!!

So I called the UCLA nurse recruitment office. I've graduated in December 2008 with an ADN then finished my BSN in July 2010. From December 2008 through the present, I've been working in a home health. So on a technicality, I'm not a new grad RN anymore. So my advice to everyone. I don't think it will be the end of the world, if we don't get into a hospital immediately. This forum has been so supportive. This has certainly kept me sane. I ended up scheduling an appointment tomorrow and interviews with Cardiac Step Down and Med Surg after new years. I would say don't give up. I know that I've given up looking for a year to focus on school. Thanks everyone.

I got called to interview for PICU as a new grad for the Feb 2011 cohort! I am so excited. Has it been just awesome the past 4 months in the PICU? I bet you have learned so much. Any advice for the interview? I hope to meet you all next year!

ktgrl1004, i know what you mean...my interview was a week ago too and i wish i would hear something....

i think it went well but you never know if they will just prefer someone else. i'm having a hard time even getting in a holiday mood for my kids...so worried about this!

p.s. there are also a couple of threads now....made up of people who applied in october...don't know how to combine them so i keep checking both...

Hello RNAllie, I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. =) It's hard to think about anything else at the moment! I've applied, applied, applied everywhere and there's so much riding on this.

I'm hoping that we get some good news before this weekend when all of the unit managers will be out for the weekend. I keep checking my e-mail and my phone. The unit manager told me she'd be making decisions this week. How about you?

I think the decisions are all based on the unit you applied for. I just interviewed yesterday, and it sounded like they were gonna do several more interviews into the holidays and even after New Year's, but this was at RR, which seems may have started interviewing a little later. It would be nice though to get some good news before xmas.

i know that I just had my interview a couple days ago and have a while to wait before I hear a response, but I HATE THIS! I really really want and need this job! I dont know what I will do if I get rejected once again! This is the farthest I've ever gotten since being out of school in nov 09, I I hate to think that it will stop there! Just have to keep praying that I was impressive enough!
